Custom level apples do not count towards the achievement, otherwise it would have taken only five minutes to get. I suggest using pen and paper to track which apples you have swept and you do not need to finish the level for the progress to be saved. There are more than 50 apples within the game, however, I choose this path for faster completion. I created a video showcasing 50 different apple locations. If you do not unlock all the achievements on your first playthrough you will need to start with a new save and re-complete what the achievement requires.Ĭongratulations, you have mastered the game! Please see " Spotless Shine" for more information. There is multiplayer within the game with one achievement to get. Once you have completed all single player levels with double-S, you are now considered a master of the game. There are 8 levels to play and you can go in any order you like. Once you have the 16 red keys, progress up to the top of the nexus and unlock the ! hub. You must score double-S in each of the 48 levels in order to gain the 16 red keys. I will not explain these as they are fun in figuring them out. As you progress though the levels, you will learn different techniques. Which levels to do is completely up to the player. You have four different hubs you can enter with 12 levels in each. Once you learn the controls, go out and explore the game. Enter the tutorial level and learn the basic mechanics for the game. You will start this game with no intro, no information, and standing in front of the tutorial computer as the default character dustman. Unobtainable/glitched achievements: 2 glitched, " Easy Does It " and " Master of the Custodial Arts" Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1, but more likely 2ĭoes difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty settings Approximate amount of time to 400 : 30+hours

Although some are melancholy, Slice of Life scenarios, there are three over-arching plots and several minor ones that crop up. Various quests and events will occur in these places. It operates like a dungeon crawler with some sandbox elements: You collect artifacts that you place on the overworld map, magically turning them into towns and dungeons. Two routes in progress of being optimized can be found here. You control a nameless main character, pick their gender, then set off to roam the world of Fa'Diel. Time-sink missions like Rachel and Lucky Clover, which involve either passing days on the worldmap or repeatedly entering and sleeping at a cafe to have days pass need to be compressed as much as possible (done together) or done piecemeal as you complete other missions alongside them to save time.Minimizing worldmap travel time, ensuring that some 'tough' bosses have reasonable health, and ensuring you have all the store levels/mana levels you need means you need to plan your artifact/land placement order carefully.Ensuring that the missable and failable missions don't get overwritten means you have to get certain missions in specific orders within your route.Compressing this down to complete other missions alongside these visits will be a large chunk of saved time. The Seven Wisdoms mission involves dragging an NPC to six different out-of-the-way locations. One is timed, the other is a sort of exploration puzzle with a tiny bit of RNG at the end.īuried Treasure will not start unless you have, for some godawful reason, smashed 20 crabs at the beach. Treasure Map and Nordic Snowfield both have failure options. If you complete Catchin Lilipeas before starting Where's Putty and (possibly?) Little Cactus and Diddle Had It, you lose access to those missions. If you leave the map during Pokeihl: Dream Teller, or Diddle Had It, you fail those missions. If you reenter Gato for any reason after completing Flame of Hope, Daena is no longer in Domina for you to start Gaeus's Wisdom. If you select the wrong options during Peewee Birdie, or talk to Peewee 10+ times, he will explode and you will fail the mission. If you start Cosmo before starting Gilbert: Resume for Love, Gilbert disappears. If you select the wrong options in Gilbert: Resume for Love, Gilbert will explode and you will fail the mission. If you go to the cafe in Geo before completing the Gilbert missions up to Gilbert: School Amour, the game will automatically start Gilbert:School Amour and not allow the player to start the previous missions. One event (Wimpy Thugling) in Duma Desert can be missed if the event Blessed Elixer is ignored and Duma Desert is not given three Dryad Mana. Three Salamander might also be necessary for one or the other. Peewee Birdie and Seeing Double are the names of these events, and they require three wisp and three shade in Domina. Two events in the town of Domina are missable altogether if you do not provide the correct levels of Mana to the town (usually done by placing the Mana Tree next to it near the end of the game, but possible otherwise with planning). The number in the artifact order is added to the distance in squares from home to produce a number, and if that number is above or below certain thresholds, you will get a specific result. The order in which you place artifacts and their distance from Home (the first artifact you place) determines the level of the monsters in dungeon/wilderness areas and the materials and weapons available in towns. Planning a route involves researching what events will net you what artifacts, and planning when/where to place your artifacts. If the player has either already received the listed artifact or has more than two artifacts on their 'slate' (unused), then the reward will either change to a Metal or be dropped down to a single artifact reward. The first Event in every land, with a few notable exceptions, generally has two slots for Artifacts (Primary and Secondary) to reward the player with. In order to get to events, you need to drop the artifacts you've found onto your worldmap to turn them back into Lands. The deal with this game is that the world has been shattered into pieces, and the memories of the creatures that live in a place have crystalized inside various artifacts. Some are mostly story-based with minimal combat, some are mostly combat/exploration, and some simply involve running from place to place in various towns and talking to bartenders made out of puzzle pieces. Legend of Mana has 68 total 'missions/quests'. Overarching Information Events/Artifacts/Lands Also, somewhere in there, will.i.am had time to become chief creative officer of a company that 3D prints bullshit. Things got so bad that employees went months without pay. i.am+ later acquired Wink, pivoting to a business focused on smart home, AI, and losing gobs and gobs of money. Then there was the Delorean-inspired car IAMAUTO, a vehicle that was immediately impounded for not being street legal, but did make me better appreciate when will.i.am’s branding is lowercase and separated by periods. Next he launched the Puls, a smartwatch which our own Dan Seifert called “the worst product I’ve touched all year.” He followed it up with another smartwatch - this one voice activated, for no apparent reason - called Dial that nobody bought. This would be his least bad idea over the next eight years. In 2012, will.i.am founded i.am+, which produced garish iPhone cases with slide-out keyboards and a separate camera. Will.i.am’s other solo act was as a tech entrepreneur, which involved a series of products, decisions, and acquisitions that I would also describe as boners. (Amazon is still building offices in NYC, just not the giant headquarters of Jeff Bezos’ dreams.) It’s as if we never learned you can’t conduct the business of an entire town (or country) like a reality show. When New Yorkers, already struggling with various infrastructure and housing issues, learned Amazon would be getting more than $1 billion in incentives, they waged a months-long battle against Amazon that culminated in the company abandoning its plans altogether. Instead, it opted for two regional offices in New York City and Arlington, Virginia. But after many, many months of trotting out finalist cities like some kind of pageant, Amazon didn’t actually pick a needy city for a true second HQ. When Amazon announced it was looking for a location to build a second headquarters, it decided to turn the whole thing into a contest - with cities across the US practically begging the retail giant to select them in hopes of new economic opportunities. The original concept was pretty straightforward:įor example, if a Waffle House store is open and offering a full menu, the index is green. This move garnered quite a bit of media attention since former FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate used the restaurant chain as both an indicator of the immediate and overall severity of a natural disaster. Waffle House uses those results to decide what should stay on the menu permanently.Waffle House announced it was closing hundreds of stores this week due to SARS-Cov-2 (a.k.a COVID-19). And occasionally, we’ll introduce a new product."Īfter the chain releases a new food, it invites diners to fill out a survey asking what they thought. "But we are continually working to make sure we serve the best food available, made with the best recipes. "As our Regulars know, we don’t like to fix what ain’t broken," the Waffle House website explains. Waffle House Test Kitchen is a division of the company that focuses on adding new menu items. Waffle House wants your constructive criticism. Visitors can still enjoy the retro design and buy something in its extensive gift shop, though. The museum has been renovated to look like it’s frozen in 1955. The original location has been converted into a museum, so while you can still visit (by appointment only), you can’t sit down and order a T-bone. You can visit the original Waffle House location, but you can't get a waffle there. If you want something to listen to while driving to your nearest Waffle House, you can also stream Waffle House Jukebox Favorites, Vol. In 1984, Waffle House records released its first song, "Waffle House Family." Waffle House serves more than 300 strips of bacon a minute. As of 2019, metro Atlanta boasted 263 locations. The very first Waffle House opened in suburban Atlanta, so it makes sense that the most outlets can be found nearby. While Valentine’s at Waffle House might seem like a last-minute decision, diners at some locations actually do need a reservation. The chain serves four T-bones every minute. Waffle House also churns out steaks at breakneck speeds. … And is the world's leading server of T-bone steaks. And according to a 2005 article in USA Today, the restaurant buys 2 percent of all eggs produced in the United States annually. The chain has served over 2 billion eggs since its opening in 1955. Waffle House buys 2 percent of all American eggs annually. Each Waffle House's keys are kept above ground.Ĭontrary to a widespread urban legend, Waffle House is not so confident in its ability to stay open around the clock that it buries the keys to each new location in the cement in front of the restaurant. In March 2020, the Waffle House Index was red, thanks to closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. And if Waffle House is completely closed, you know things are bad: The restaurants are extremely adaptable, and their limited menu varies according to what appliances are working in the kitchen and what supplies are available. It has three stages: Green indicates an open restaurant with a full menu yellow means the restaurant is serving a limited menu and red means the Waffle House is closed. Since Waffle House prides itself on being open 24/7, FEMA uses the restaurant as an informal index to determine the impact of disasters. The restaurant was a huge success by 1961, there were four locations, allowing Rogers to leave his job at the Toddle House. The two men decided they wanted to open their own restaurant, one that focused on its customers-and on Labor Day 1955, the first Waffle House opened its doors in Avondale Estates, Georgia. Overall the tool seems to work pretty well, compared to the regular image enlarging and resize methods and really does make the picture sharp and realistic. So here is the quickest and easiest way to use Super Resolution to enlarge your images using only Photoshop (with Camera Raw):ġ) In Photoshop, click the File menu and choose Open as.ĥ) This step will also take time, but once completed, another copy of the image will appear in the menu, where you can compare the images side by side and save the new version as a JPG image (right-click and choose Save Image). We all know that when you make a small image bigger using Photoshop then the result is a blurry and pixelated photo… The Debatable Lands is believed to have been the last great territorial division in Britain. It’s a place where local histories and scant ruins linger among wooded valleys, fast-flowing rivers and open moorland that lend themselves to letting your imagination fill in some of the blanks of its much under-told story.Īnd what a fascinating tale it is. This lesser-visited corner of the UK is also where you can get close to the story of those who called the Debatable Lands home: feuding clans known as the Border Reivers. Today, this once troublesome region is a laidback, quiet part of the border where hardy animal breeds are reared and a sense of community reverberates among the long-established towns and villages. Peacefully admiring nature at work, it was hard to believe that this seemingly tranquil, rural landscape was once at the edge of one of Britain's most lawless, and for a time, bloodiest, regions: the area known as the Debatable Lands. Standing firm against a determined breeze, I was surveying the scene from what marks the south-western end of the border between Scotland and England. The lowland coastline, flanked by rolling hills, expands until the firth meets the Irish Sea, creating a natural break in the land between Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland and Cumbria in northern England. All around, fields dipped gently to flatten out along the shore of the channel, which snakes its way westwards to the Solway Firth. As I looked across the open estuary of the River Esk, pale yellow sunlight filtered through streaks of low-lying cloud, reflected in the mirror-like ribbons of water and ripples of sand exposed by the retreating tide. Nowhere does a brooding winter sky quite like the west coast of Scotland. (This year, we published many inspiring and amazing stories that made us fall in love with the world – and this is one our favourites. The land outside the big cities is stuffed full of artifacts and leftovers from ancient times, ranging from before the Romans’ arrival to the Middle Ages and more. “We are striving to dredge up more relatives to get involved in creating a village in 2023.”Įngland is very much metal detector country. We will attempt to teach my sister as well as my brother-in-law to assist us as they appear interested this year. The two, who are both camera operators, intend to go much further next year and are hoping to enlist the aid of a larger family. Therefore, for the previous four to five years, whenever we had the time, we would construct a sandcastle once a year ” says Jared. “Now that he’s used that knowledge and developed it, he taught me. He claims that while working for a California hotel plus learning how to construct sandcastles as a kid-friendly activity, he acquired the skill there about eight years ago. “Time went by incredibly quickly it seemed like we were only at the beach for five hours, instead of ten.” “Paul spoke to the press. The previous night, the two worked on it until 8 p.m., and unlike last year, it is still standing. Then came the spatulas to shape the windows, then toothpicks for creating the roof piles, as well as the straws for blowing off the “extra sand.” Paul explains, “There are a few techniques, such as two portions of water to one portion of sand.” The 150-liter pail was the biggest we were able to use, and the traditional household bucket was a fairly small one. Jared informed the media, “This one is 2 meters, so we needed a few footstools to climb up tall enough and also used a builder’s level so it didn’t topple over. Jared chuckles, “A guy is assessing how tall it is currently with his beach umbrella. Before beginning their construction, the two searched online for sandcastle designs after visiting Bunnings to get tools, buckets, as well as a footrest.īoth residents and visitors have expressed admiration and astonishment at the beautiful creation. On Christmas Eve, the brothers started strategizing on how to top last year’s one-meter-high tower on Boxing Day 2021.īecause Jared and Paul are “very competitive,” they wanted to outdo their performance from the previous year. The pair plans to turn this into a Boxing Day ritual. Jared and Paul Brandon spent 10 hours that day building a two-meter-high sandcastle, beginning with a sketch of the structure “on a piece of A4 paper” and beginning at high tide. That’s what two brothers in New Zealand did this past Boxing Day and ended up with an amazing and eye-catching sandcastle.Īfter building a massive sandcastle on Boxing Day, two Auckland boys gained praise from other people around Mt Maunganui’s beach area that day.
